Welcome to Ballycar National School
We are a small, rural primary school with a big heart, where every child is valued, included and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Our school community is made up of a vibrant Preschool, two mainstream classrooms, an SET (Special Education Teaching) classroom and a dedicated Autism Class. We are proud to provide a nurturing environment with spaces designed to support every learner, including a sensory room and a GP room for
group and individual work.
Outside, our pupils enjoy a safe and fun playground, wall ball area and an allweather astro turf which allow for plenty of play, sport, and active learning.
At the core of everything we do is the belief that learning should be engaging, inclusive, and joyful. We strive to foster curiosity, kindness, and confidence in every child, helping them grow not only as learners but as members of a caring school family.
Together with parents and the wider community, we are building a school where children are supported, celebrated, and inspired every day.
